An honest account of where the Institute is today, what we do and do not yet offer, and how families can participate as programs come online.
- Is the Institute currently operating full programs?
- No. The Institute is in an active early development stage. Our public site, mission, founder, and program framework are established. Program enrollment, donations, and research services will open in phases as each is confirmed and ready to serve families with the standard of care they deserve.
- Is the Institute a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit?
- The Institute has been formed as a nonprofit corporation. Federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) has not yet been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service. Until that determination is issued, donations are not tax-deductible. Any change in status will be clearly published here.
- Are donations tax-deductible?
- Not yet. The Institute has not received an IRS 501(c)(3) determination. When and if that determination is issued, this page and the donate page will be updated to reflect it, along with the effective date.
- Who leads the Institute?
- The Institute was founded by Reechad McCampbell, who serves as Founder and Executive Director. A board of directors and advisory council are currently being formed and will be listed publicly as each member is seated.
- How can my family begin lineage research through the Institute?
- Family research services are being designed under our Family Lineage Journey program. Enrollment is not yet open. You can create an account to be notified as programs come online.
- Do you work with universities, historical societies, and churches?
- Yes — those partnerships are central to our work. Formal partnership intake will open with our Community Heritage Partnerships and University and Institutional Fellowship programs. In the meantime, institutions interested in a future partnership are invited to use the contact page.
- How is my family's information protected?
- Family stories, records, and any personal information submitted to the Institute will be held with strict confidentiality and stored on secure infrastructure. Family-contributed material will only be published with the explicit consent of the contributing family. A full privacy policy is published on this site.
- Can I volunteer or contribute my professional expertise?
- Yes — genealogists, archivists, historians, educators, developers, attorneys, and grant writers who wish to contribute are invited to use the Get Involved page. Volunteer intake will formalize as our operations expand.
- How can I stay informed as the Institute grows?
- Create an account, or subscribe to our newsletter once the newsletter is activated in a coming phase. Substantive updates on programs, leadership, and partnerships will be published on the News page as they occur.
